The Butterfly Nebula charm depicts the view of the Butterfly Nebula located in the constellation Scorpius.

The artwork print is sealed and displayed under domed glass. The charm comes with a jump ring and may be added to a charm bracelet or inserted onto a necklace to be worn as a petite pendant.

The charm is silver plated brass, round and is approximately 3/4 inches (19mm) in diameter. The jump ring is silver plated brass and is approximately 6mm in diameter. While the charm is water resistant, it is not waterproof. It should not be worn during bathing, showering and swimming.

Available with no necklace (charm only) or with a cable chain (silver finished brass) in silver tone w/ lobster claw clasp and 1" extender chain.

The Butterfly Nebula, NGC 6302 or Bug Nebula is a bipolar planetary nebula. The nebula is a cloud of gas ejected from the hot star, a white dwarf, located at its center. This star is nearing the end of its life and is one of the hottest stars known in the Milky Way galaxy registering at 360,000 degrees Fahrenheit (200,000 Kelvin). It lies in the constellation Scorpius and is approximately 4,000 light years from Earth.
