$ 24.98 $ 55.00

The Puppis A supernova remnant pendant dangles from a luxurious black voile ribbon necklace. The scene depicts the infrared view of the Puppis A supernova remnant located in the constellation Puppis. The neutron star resulting from this supernova has been dubbed the Cosmic Cannonball. The star is traveling such a high velocity that it will be ejected from the Milky Way galaxy in a few million years. This pendant is silver tone, and the necklace closes with a silver tone lobster claw clasp & two inch extender chain. The artwork print is sealed and displayed under domed glass. The piece is signed by Autumn's Glory.

Puppis A is a supernova remnant formed when a massive star ended its life in an extremely bright and powerful explosion which would have been seen on Earth 3,700 years ago. The resulting neutron star is moving inexplicably fast at over 3 million miles per hour and astronomers have nicknamed it the "Cosmic Cannonball." It is located in the constellation Puppis and is approximately 7,000 light years from Earth.

The necklace measures approximately 18 inches long, and the pendant is a 1 inch square (not including bail). While the pendant & necklace is water resistant, it is not waterproof. Please remove it when bathing, showering and swimming.
