The Crab Nebula pendant dangles from a luxurious black voile ribbon necklace. The scene depicts the Crab Nebula supernova remnant. This pendant is silver tone, and the necklace closes with a silver tone lobster claw clasp & two inch extender chain. The artwork print is sealed and displayed under domed glass.

The Crab Nebula is a supernova remnant in the constellation of Taurus. Chinese astronomers recorded the supernova in 1054. At the center of the nebula lies the Crab Pulsar, a neutron star. The crab nebula is approximately 6,500 light years from Earth.

The necklace measures approximately 18 inches long, and the pendant is a 1 inch square (not including bail). While the pendant & necklace is water resistant, it is not waterproof. Please remove it when bathing, showering and swimming.
