The Silver Coin Galaxy charm dangles from silver plated earwires. It depicts the infrared view of the starburst Silver Coin Galaxy located in the constellation Sculptor. The center of this galaxy glows with new star formation.

The charm is one sided & silver tone. The artwork print is sealed and displayed under domed glass. While the charms are water resistant, they not waterproof. These earrings should not be worn during bathing, showering and swimming.

French hooks:
The French hooks are hypo-allergenic silver plated surgical steel ear wires. From the top of ear wire, they measure approximately 1-1/2 (40mm) long and 3/4 inches (19mm) wide. Each charm is about 3/4 inch (19mm) in diameter.

Leverbacks:
The leverbacks are silver plated brass ear wires decorated with 3mm spheres. From the top of ear wire, they measure approximately 1-3/8 (35mm) long and 3/4 inches (19mm) wide. Each charm is about 3/4 inch (19mm) in diameter.

The Silver Coin Galaxy, or NGC 253, is a spiral galaxy & a starburst galaxy, which means that it is undergoing a period of intense star formation. It is located in the constellation Sculptor and is approximately 11,000,000 light years from Earth.
