The Eta Carinae star system & nebula pendant dangles from a luxurious black voile ribbon necklace. The scene depicts the infrared view of Eta Carinae star system & Homunculus Nebula. The bright point of light is the star Eta Carinae, one of the most massive stars in our galaxy. This pendant is silver tone, and the necklace closes with a silver tone lobster claw clasp & two inch extender chain. The artwork print is sealed and displayed under domed glass.

The Eta Carinae star system contains at least two stars, one being Eta Carinae. It is orbited by a hot supergiant companion, impossible to see due to the thick surrounding nebula, the Homunculus Nebula. The nebula was formed by the violent outbursts of Eta Carinae. It is believed that Eta Carinae will supernova in the not-to-distant future. Eta Carinae is located within the constellation Carina, and it is approximately 7,500 light years from Earth.

The necklace measures approximately 18 inches long, and the pendant is a 1 inch square (not including bail). While the pendant & necklace is water resistant, it is not waterproof. Please remove it when bathing, showering and swimming.
