The far side (or dark side) of the Moon of Earth artwork print charm earrings depict the Moon from the side not seen from Earth. The artwork is sealed and displayed under domed glass.

From the top of ear wire, these earrings measure approximately 1-1/2 inches (40mm) long and 3/4 inches (19mm) wide. Each charm is about 3/4 inches (19mm) in diameter. The charms are silver (or gold) plated brass, and the earwires are silver (or gold) plated hypoallergenic surgical steel. While the earrings are water resistant, they are not waterproof. They should not be worn during bathing, showering and swimming.

The Moon is the only natural satellite of Earth. The Moon always shows the same face to Earth. The side that never faces Earth is called the far side or the dark side. The dark side actually receives light but is called dark since it never shows itself to Earth. The darker areas are volcanic maria from ancient volcanic eruptions. There are far less maria on the far side of the moon than on the side that faces Earth. Also visible are the prominent impact craters. It is the brightest body in the sky, other than the Sun.
