Tufted coquette hummingbird pendant dangles from a luxurious black voile ribbon necklace. The pendant features a scene from a painting by Martin Johnson Heade. The tufted coquette is a tiny bird found in eastern Venezuela, Trinidad, Guiana and northern Brazil. This pendant is silver tone, and the necklace closes with a silver tone lobster claw clasp & two inch extender chain. The artwork print is sealed and displayed under domed glass.
Martin Johnson Heade (1819 – 1904) was a prolific American painter known for his salt marsh landscapes, seascapes, and depictions of tropical birds (such as hummingbirds), as well as lotus blossoms and other still lifes.
The necklace measures approximately 18 inches long, and the pendant is a 1 inch round (not including bail). While the pendant & necklace is water resistant, it is not waterproof. Please remove it when bathing, showering and swimming.
