The Leo constellation charm dangles from silver plated earwires. It depicts the shining stars of the Leo constellation. The brightness of each star within the constellation is reflected in the size of the star's representation in the illustration, and the star glows with the shown color. Cooler stars appear reddish orange, and hotter stars are blue. Yellow and white stars are in between.

The charm is one sided & silver tone. The artwork print is sealed and displayed under domed glass. While the charms are water resistant, they not waterproof. These earrings should not be worn during bathing, showering and swimming.

French hooks:
The French hooks are hypo-allergenic silver plated surgical steel ear wires. From the top of ear wire, they measure approximately 1-1/2 (40mm) long and 3/4 inches (19mm) wide. Each charm is about 3/4 inch (19mm) in diameter.

Leverbacks:
The leverbacks are silver plated brass ear wires decorated with 3mm spheres. From the top of ear wire, they measure approximately 1-3/8 (35mm) long and 3/4 inches (19mm) wide. Each charm is about 3/4 inch (19mm) in diameter.

Leo is a constellation in the zodiac, and its name means "lion". In astrology Leo is the fifth sign in the zodiac and occurs between July 24th and August 27th. One of the 48 constellations described by the 2nd century astronomer Ptolemy, Leo remains one of the 88 modern constellations today, and one of the most easily recognizable due to its many bright stars and a distinctive shape that is reminiscent of the crouching lion it depicts.
