Cartwheel Galaxy in the Constellation Sculptor Space 1" Pendant Necklace in Silver Tone

$ 24.98 $ 55.00

The Cartwheel Galaxy pendant dangles from a luxurious black voile ribbon necklace. The scene depicts the combined infrared, visible and x-ray views of the Cartwheel Galaxy located in the constellation Sculptor. It is so named because the galaxy appears to have "spokes". This pendant is silver tone, and the necklace closes with a silver tone lobster claw clasp & two inch extender chain. The artwork print is sealed and displayed under domed glass. The piece is signed by Autumn's Glory.

The Cartwheel Galaxy, or ESO 350-40, is a ring galaxy, a galaxy with a bright center and outer ring. The galaxy was discovered by Fritz Zwicky in 1941. It lies in the constellation Sculptor and is approximately 500,000,000 light years from Earth.

The necklace measures approximately 18 inches long, and the pendant is a 1 inch round (not including bail). While the pendant & necklace is water resistant, it is not waterproof. Please remove it when bathing, showering and swimming.

Introduced in our 2014 Collection.
